Ventura is such a beautiful little beach town and was the perfect setting for Erin and Rex’s Ventura Pier Engagement Session! Side note — Rex owns an amazing restaurant on Main St. called Mondos Beach Break that everyone MUST go check out.
We started out at Grant Park, which, being a Ventura County native, I was amazed I’d never been to before. The park overlooks all of downtown Ventura with a panoramic view of the ocean; simply stunning! I’ll definitely be going back there. Following, we headed over to the Ventura Pier and we couldn’t have asked for better weather! The fog just burned off for us to take some sunset photos (my favorite)! The rough weather that ripped the pier apart a few months back also washed ashore thousands of beautiful rocks, which today, cover the majority of the beach and wound up creating a magical backdrop for our last few photos.
Erin and Rex told me they had never taken photos together before — well, let me tell you… this was hard for me to believe, because as soon as I snapped the first few shots, they were old pros in front of the camera! I tell all my couples that when you are head over heels for someone, taking photos is easy with them by your side — your love for each other will shine through, no matter what!
